Betfair Group

Betfair

Betfair was founded in 1999 and pioneered the first successful Betting Exchange. Today we provide a full range of sports betting and gaming products to over 950,000 customers. Betfair is one of the largest online betting and gaming operators in the UK market and has a global reach, with customers in more than 100 countries.

The Betting Exchange, which enables customers to come together to bet with each other, put Betfair on the map and transformed the Company from a start up to a member of the FTSE 250 in just 10 years. The Exchange remains the Company’s unique differentiator in a competitive marketplace.

In 2013, Betfair launched a Sportsbook to run alongside the Exchange. Both products address different sections of the sports betting market, and both link into each other in highly innovative ways.

Today Betfair runs under three separate business units who run the Exchange, Sports and Gaming products. Each of the three business units controls the design, build and sale of their respective products.

In March 2013 TVG signed an agreement to operate NJBets the only account-wagering platform available to New Jersey residents.
